1, Communication mode. FA-V01HW-1 obd2 code scanner supports WiFi communication. Wireless communication is with faster transmission speed than Bluetooth communication. And its transmission distance is also longer than Bluetooth obd scanner. But it should be used in environment with WiFi.
2, Pair code. When you need to connect the obd scanner to the mobile phone. It always requires pair code. There is a default pairing code like 1234 or 0000 for the obd scanner. But we suggest buyer to order the obd scanner with customized pair code. So that it can prevent other user from connecting the device and enhance the safety.
3, Master chip. Generally we use imported PICI8F25K80 master chip for FA-V01HW obd scanner. but as for FA-V01HW-1 obd2 code scanner, it is a low cost solution and it is with bonding chip. Bonding chip is an integrated which is made in our own production line. It is with same function as the imported chip. But its compatibility and performance may not as excellent as the imported one. In long term, it may have some unstable phenomenon.
4, Communication module. The communication way of FA-V01HW-1 obd2 code scanner is WiFi. So there is a WiFi module inside the obd scanner. The wifi name and MAC address of obd scanner is determined by the module.
The obd scanner is able to work with vehicles which supported the following obd2 communication protocols.
1. SAE J1850 PWM (41.6Kbaud)
2. SAE J1850 VPW (10.4Kbaud)
3. ISO9141-2(5 baud init, 10.4Kbaud)
4. ISO14230-4 KWP (5 baud init, 10.4 Kbaud)

1. R&D capability determines the level of auto obd scanner. If it is a supplier with poor R&D ability, it can only decode and use other people's software. But in fact they do not have independent R&D capability. They do not have ability to modify and upgrade auto OBD scanner in the future. Therefore, they only can provide very limit services.
