1, The auto diagnostic tool is able to read trouble code.
2, Clear trouble codes and turn off the MIL ("Check Engine" light).
3, Display current sensor data, including:
- Engine RPM
- Calculated Load Value
- Coolant Temperature
- Fuel System Status
- Vehicle Speed
- Short Term Fuel Trim
- Long Term Fuel Trim
- Intake Manifold Pressure
- Timing Advance
- Intake Air Temperature

4, Check I/M state.
1, Do not connect the auto diagnostic tool when the ignition switch is on or the engine runs.
2, Turn off ignition switch.
3, Find the 16pins data link connector on the vehicle.
4, Insert the automobile diagnostic tool into the DLC of vehicle.
5, Turn on the ignition switch. At this time, it doesn't matter whether the engine starts or stops.
6, Press "Enter" key on the obd diagnostic tool to enter diagnostic menu. The screen of the obd2 diagnostic tool will show a series of OBD-II protocols information until it detects the right protocols. the screen will show "link error" if the vehicle diagnostic tool fails to communicate with the vehicle ECU.
7, Try to connect again. repeat the operation as above. make sure ignition is on. Connect the auto diagnostic tool to the DLC. and confirm the vehicle supports the listed OBD-II protocols. Refer to the vehicle manual or consult to the vehicle supplier. If the vehicle does not support the mentioned OBD2 communication protocols, it will not work. Turn off ignition switch and wait for about 10 seconds. Turn on the ignition again and press "enter" to enter diagnostic menu.
