, Confirm the connector type of the truck diagnostic cable is correct and can match the socket or interface on the engine/vehicle. Including pin number, shape of plug.
, Check the pinout assignment of truck conversion cable compliant with the supported protocol or not. Sometimes the truck diagnostic cable cannot work after matching. Maybe there is wrong pinout assignment inside. Or to put it another way, the truck diagnostic cable on hand is with all straight pins. But communication protocol of the engine requires pin 4 and pin 5 connected. So it still can not work though there is no mistake on the pin number and connector shape. So it is very important to confirm pin assignment diagram before order.
, If the truck diagnostic cable is correct, it is sample to use. It is plug and play. another situation is to use it for replacement. Just need to unplug the old 9pin connectors from their mounting location and plug the new Y splitter into the mounting holes.
, User need to distinguish male and female connector when changing the truck diagnostic cable.
, Don’t force them if they cannot match in order to avoid broken.
, After simple installation, user can start the diagnosis with truck diagnostic tool.
