As a diagnostic cable, sometimes use frequency of heavy truck cable is not very high. So sometimes when we need to use it but found it could not work. So what makes the heavy truck cable look perfect, but actually it's broken?
1, Possibly due to the aging of the insulator. If the insulator of heavy truck cable is aging and cracking, it will cause poor heat dissipation or overload. Thus, the heavy truck cable cannot work normally.
2. Another reason is the insulator is damp. In some humid environments, the resonance caused by the car driving makes the insulation layer of heavy truck cable crack. Water molecules are easy to enter, so it will bring effect to the conductor with moisture. Improper use or storage may also lead to damp for insulation layer, which further leads to abnormal condition. If it is only with moisture, but not with corrosion or short circuit, it may work after the moisture is dry. However, if it is with serious corrosion or short circuit, it is better to use a replacement.
3. Improper operation caused damage to the conductor of heavy truck cable. That is to say, the wires are excessively bent due to excessive external force.
4. Due to excessive voltage. Therefore, user need to consider the rated working voltage of the vehicle battery when selecting truck cable. Wrong selection may result in failure.
Of course, there are other reasons why heavy truck cable can't work. When the problem occurs, only one by one investigation can find a solution to the problem. If it's the problem of heavy truck cable, it's easy to solve, just replace it. But if it's the problem of diagnostic tool or even the car, it's more troublesome.
